Fambot on the Oprah Daily

We here at Oprah Daily are, arguably, overly familiar with the burdens of a heavy mental load—and we’re far from the only ones. For parents, raising kids can feel like a full-time job on top of a full-time job: school emails, permission slips, calendar changes, and the endless details (who’s bringing orange slices to the soccer game, again?) that require someone’s attention. And after a long day, many parents would much rather be present with their kids than sorting through yet another inbox.
This is the problem David Reich set out to solve. After years of working in product strategy and building tech tools for companies like Uber, he founded the AI-powered platform Fambot, which he calls the “chief of staff” for families. Through its app, the agentic AI connects to your email and calendar, turning school newsletters, updates, and events into a clear daily plan.
In a conversation with Oprah Daily’s executive editor, Paulie Dibner, Reich explains how Fambot works, how the company approaches privacy and security, and what he says to parents who feel unsure about bringing AI into family life. “The whole purpose [of Fambot] is to let you put your phone down and actually be present with your kids,” Reich explains.
